Programs of the Community Hygiene Bank:
Hygiene 4 All
The primary program that the Community Hygiene Bank began with is now called Hygiene 4 All. We offer four walk-through hygiene distributions per year of 15+ full sized items which community members in need can “shop“ for and who reside within the Brockport Central School District (BCSD) area. Customers receive $50-$100+ worth of basic hygiene products, free of charge.
Hygiene 2 Home
This is a Mobile delivery service for community members in need who are shut in, disabled, have no access to transportation. These customers are able to complete an intake to choose what items they need. Their boxes are then packed and delivered by volunteers. This service is also offered 4 times per year, directly before our walk- through distribution.
Hygiene for U
The “U“ stands for “unanticipated events“. These are boxes of hygiene products for people who have experienced an emergency such as flood, fire, medical, etc. and are not able to wait for the next hygiene distribution. They are able to receive this service once a year and only for true emergencies.
Hygiene 2 School
Two times a year; in the Fall and Spring semesters, we learn from school nurses and social workers which hygiene items are most needed for grades K-12 in the BCSD and help with those needs.
Hygiene 2 Farm
There are many large farms in our surrounding area. We work in consultation with Oak Orchard Health Rural Farm Worker program to create hygiene kits of hotel sized items to help meet farm workers’ beginning hygiene needs.
Hygiene 4 Veterans
We honor and value the service of our veterans, through assisting them and their families with their hygiene needs. We work with veteran organizations such as the Veterans Outreach Center (VOC), and local veteran organizations to connect vets in need with our hygiene programs.
Hygiene 2 Welcome
In partnership with World Relief WNY, we provide hygiene products to newly arrived immigrants and refugees to welcome our new neighbors.
Hygiene 4 Homeless
The Brockport Community Warming Center officially opened its doors on Monday, December 23rd, 2024. We will be providing hygiene products for this new service in coordination with Oak Orchard Health and Brockport First Baptist Church.
