An organization is only as strong as the people who believe in its mission. Our volunteer opportunities range from sorting and packaging hygiene products to helping on Distribution days. No special skills are needed, and we would love for you to come volunteer and serve with us.

Volunteer Opportunities at the Community Hygiene Bank

Assisting with distribution of personal blessing bags to community members in need on distribution days

Making up emergency hygiene kits and boxes

Help us deliver personal blessing bags to those who aren’t able to drive

Setting up staging area for packing of boxes

Packing boxes on Thursdays before distributions

Managing boxes; breaking down and recycling those boxes not needed, 

Organizing and storing needed boxes

Recycling paper and plastic products from packing materials

Sorting and storing inventory

Assist with office paperwork and management of office area

Assisting with New to You Sale preparations and the actual New to You Sale fundraiser in April

Finding people and places willing to donate either hygiene items or dollars

Assist with shopping trips for hygiene items

Assist with writing newsletter and other PR materials about the Hygiene Bank

Helping us find  and connect with people, places, or organizations who would like to donate dollars or hygiene items

Assist with finding and writing grants

Speaking with others about the Community Hygiene Bank, hygiene poverty and the needs in our community at events, having a “table” for the CHB, letting your family, friends, work and neighbors know.

Organize a “group” drive for hygiene items at your work, school, neighborhood, etc

Set up a “sponsor a family” program at the holidays or over the summer months

Become a member of our Program Advisory Board or one of its committees
